Hi Reader!

It's time for our monthly coffee date!

Grab a cup of coffee (or maybe your favourite chai?) and I'll give you a little rundown of things you may want to be aware of this coming month, as well as a quick update on what I've been up to.

What's been happening with me

I've been absolutely hooked on the new season of Kitchen Nightmares! Anyone else find themselves wondering how Gordon Ramsay manages to juggle so many shows at once? Between Hell's Kitchen, MasterChef, Next Level Chef, and now this โ€“ the man must have mastered the art of cloning himself! ๐Ÿ˜„

Speaking of kitchen drama, we had quite a scare a few weeks ago when one of our Pyrex dishes literally exploded! ๐Ÿ’ฅ One second we were taking a hot dish out of the oven, and the next โ€“ BOOM!

While after a trip to the doctor we're all okay (mostly just startled!), it was a stark reminder about thermal shock. Quick PSA: never place hot glass bakeware directly on cold surfaces or add cold liquids to hot dishes. If your Pyrex dish is getting old, you might even consider let it cool slowly for a while before taking it out of the oven.

If you're in the market for new bakeware, I've been loving these ceramic dishes from Our Place โ€“ they're thermal shock resistant and absolutely gorgeous on the table.
