Monthly Coffee Date - January

Monthly Coffee with Riz

Chocolates & Chai

Hi Reader!

It's time for our monthly coffee date!

Grab a cup of coffee (or maybe your favourite chai?) and I'll give you a little rundown of things you may want to be aware of this coming month, as well as a quick update on what I've been up to.

Happy New Year!

Happy 2025! 🎊 Hope your holiday season was as delicious as mine. Speaking of which, Santa really outdid himself this year - I'm typing this while wearing my new favorite Christmas gift: a glorious, green Grinch Christmas sweater. My heart has definitely grown three sizes, but unfortunately, so has my waistline!

I need to make a few healthy choices this year, and I'm starting with an upgrade I've been looking forward to for a long time - a standing desk! It's been a revelation for recipe testing. Turns out, you can bake a cake AND answer emails at the perfect ergonomic height. Who knew?

If you're interested in getting a standing desk, I opted for an EFFYDESK (it was a good balance between quality and prettiness!). If you'd like to get one too, my link below will get you a 10% discount. Your back will thank you.

Comment of the Month

"We made this on a whim last night, and it was delicious! Loved the creaminess. We’d make it again, but we’re not Italian…we’re Irish!" - Andy on Beef Carbonara

Coming up in January

There are plenty of yummy recipes coming your way, but I'm most excited to share a warm, comforting savory pie that's been a house favorite for us (that's all I'm saying for now). Keep an eye on your inbox for it!

Jan 5th: Golden Globes (I'll probably forget to watch as usual)

Jan 20th: Martin Luther King, Jr Day (US only)

All month: National Book Month (I'm currently reading Feng Shui Modern)

And now it's your turn to hit REPLY and let me know what's happening in your life.

See you next month!
